Gorgeous oversize alphabet book featuring all early air ships, monoplanes dirigibles, balloons, parachutes......anything 103 years ago that could be associated with flight. Designed by Raphael Tuck & Sons, London. They're the same company responsible for creating some of the most beautiful postcard artwork ever produced. "Our Air Ship" is an ABC children's book with a spectacular full color cover of five types of air ships. All are included in the book. Every other interior page is also full color. The rest are black and white. Two letters are pictured on each page except for the inside covers. Only the letter "A" is on the front inside cover. The letter "Z" and ampersand "&" were included on the back inside cover. There are 16 pages total including both covers. A lot of creativity was required to include a word beginning with every letter of the alphabet and still represent something to do with an early flight. The covers are heavy paper stock, almost cardboard. The interior pages are a heavy, high quality stock. A 1912 copyright date was printed on the lower left corner on the front cover.
